Friday Food & Play
Join us on The Piazza this August for three Fridays (4,11,18) to bring in the summer holidays with our Friday Food & Play event. Enjoy international food and drink from Lebanese to Indian, Spanish and Greek, plus sweet treats and more! There will be FREE interactive games for children of all ages to battle out who the ultimate game master is. No booking required! Just turn up between noon-9pm and embrace the summer vibes with the whole family.
Stay Active This Summer
Visit Centre Court Shopping’s newest experiential attractions. Play family-friendly courses and games with every size of kids’ golf clubs ready at the go or book a Junior Summer Camp at The Golf Groove. Take a trip to Wimbledon’s newest climbing gym, The Boardroom Climbing, with all new kids fun sessions for ages 8- 16 perfect for teens with a passion for adventure and climbing.
Take a dip in the pool for free! Children under the age of 16 will be able to enjoy an hour of swimming for free at Better Leisure Wimbledon, from 9–10am every weekday during the holidays.
Free weekly fitness class for teen girls! Join the movement and get involved with the latest classes run by Nuffield Health at Wimbledon Library. Move Together is all about getting girls moving, these classes are free and designed to build strength and confidence in young girls, it’s also the perfect opportunity to have fun and meet new people in a safe and welcoming space. For ages 11-16.
Let the films roll on…grab your popcorn and watch family-friendly movies for FREE at Wimbledon Library, from Frozen magic with Anna and Elsa to cooking with Ratatouille. There will be a film perfect for a family day out.
You can catch all the latest children’s films at your local cinema The Odeon such as Disney’s Elemental or the new animated Spiderman including many more blockbusters coming soon this summer.
Hungry for lunch? Wimbledon has a range of delightful restaurants with children’s menus. Dine on Asian cuisine at Wagamama with a summer kids’ menu full of mini dishes for every appetite. Enjoy a taste of tacos and sunshine at Wahaca. For every children’s menu sold Wahaca donates 25p to Polka Theatre. Al Forno is a favourite for authentic Italian. Don’t forget to have a sweet treat this summer and visit Oddono’s Wimbledon for a range of tasty Italian gelatos flavours, a perfect treat on a summer’s day.
