Our ‘Sugar, Spice and All Things Ice’ campaign launches this week, celebrating everything festive and frosty in Wimbledon Town Centre this season. It’s an exciting time, with our Christmas tree arriving on 16th November, the launch of our Christmas Markets and Wimbledon Quarter’s grand opening on 18th November, and our Winterfest extravaganza on 26th November. The campaign will spotlight the wide range of offerings from our exceptional businesses, including festive performances, joyful menus and a range of delightful gifts available at shops and markets. We look forward to sharing the Christmas spirit with you.
Our annual Wimbledon Winterfest will take place Sunday 26th November, 12-6pm in a new spot next to Wimbledon Quarter SW19 (formerly Centre Court Shopping), with vintage rides for children, magical ice sculpting workshops, alpine memorabilia, hot food and drinks, an appearance from Father Christmas, community performances on our snow stage, together with our Christmas Market on The Piazza. Fireworks and a new laser light show, courtesy of Wimbledon Quarter, can be seen from Queen’s Road at 5.30pm.
Love Wimbledon’s Christmas Market on The Piazza offers 12 days of shopping from local artisans, weekends starting 18th November. Find everything you need for the festive season, from food for entertaining to gorgeous gifts, hot food and mulled wine.
When you’re in town, look out for two larger-than-life outdoor Christmas trees. Our much-loved Christmas tree returns to Wimbledon once more on 16th November, illuminated outside Wimbledon Station alongside our signage post to remind you of all the festive events happening in the town centre. A second glittering tree will be on The Piazza from 24th November.
Over the last 2 years, Wimbledon Quarter has been working to reinvigorate the space with a new retractable roof and courtyard area, community entrance and a raft of exciting places to shop, train, eat, drink and work. You are warmly invited to their grand opening, for an afternoon of activities including ice skating, food & drink, live performances and an opening ceremony. Friends, family and colleagues are all welcome.
