Cleaner Heat Cashback: NEW £10m Boiler Scrappage Scheme for SMEs

Have you heard about the Mayor of London’s new £10m boiler scrappage scheme?

If you’re a small business in London and have an older, inefficient heating system you may be eligible for 30 to 40 per cent cashback when you replace it with a new, cleaner system.

Cleaner Heat Cashback is Mayor Sadiq Khan’s £10 million scheme to help London’s Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) save money on their energy bills and improve the capital’s air quality.  We want to make sure that all our BID and town centre businesses know about the scheme as it will help save you money.

It’s first-come, first-served, so get your application in early to avoid disappointment.

More information about the scheme, eligibility criteria and FAQs can be found online here: https://www.london.gov.uk/cleaner-heat-cashback

Hartley Fowler Raise Over £5,000 For Charity

A team of employees of Wimbledon firm of Chartered Accountants Hartley Fowler took part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride on 16th September, in their bid to raise money for their dedicated charity Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

Despite varying levels of fitness and cycling experience, all six members of the team managed to complete the challenging 56 mile route through the Surrey and Sussex countryside.

Partner Jonathan Askew said: “Riding the London to Brighton Bike Ride was a great albeit demanding experience for the team, and we are so thankful for all the support we have received for this fundraising event. The MNDA is a charity very close to our heart as one of our long time employees has been directly impacted by this disease. We are delighted to have raised £5,000 (and counting!) in donations so far – if you’d like to donate there’s still time to do so via our Just Giving Page.”

Cargostore Brave the Shave fundraiser

Jeremy Thacker, Operations Assistant at Cargostore shaved his head to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, as part of their Brave the Shave campaign.

Prior to the event Mr Thacker said, “Having known several family members and close friends who have been affected by cancer in recent times, I want to brave the shave to raise money to provide much needed support and services to people whose lives have been touched by cancer.

With an ambitious target of £500, Jeremy’s family, friends and colleagues at Cargostore joined forces and together, raised a whopping £855! Cargostore are proud of Jeremy and would like to thank all who generously donated for this very important cause.

Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the leading British charities in the fight against cancer. They assist with the medical needs of people affected by cancer as well as raise awareness to the social, emotional, and practical impact cancer can have.
