Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) Monthly Sessions
Counter Terrorism Sessions for Business
As restrictions have eased, everyone should be able to enjoy safely the opportunities to get out and about. To help you keep your customers and staff, Metropolitan Police, in partnership with Merton Chamber of Commerce, are hosting free monthly Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) sessions.
The current threat to the UK from Terrorism is Substantial – an attack is likely.
As further venues and sectors open, naturally public health will be at the forefront of business owners’ minds, however security must also be considered during planning and briefings, helping to protect customers not just against Covid, but terrorism too.
Businesses are being encouraged to:
- Risk assess their existing sites and any new premises such as outdoor spaces; and consider the protective security advice available here
- Get staff to sign up and complete ACT e-learning training.
- Speak to the police about any concerns
