WSM Charity Rugby Sevens
WSM are firm believers in supporting local charities and being active members of a local community. One of their biggest annual events covers both of these aspects; their charity rugby sevens tournament, held at Wimbledon RFC on the 13th June. This year will also see what they hope to be the first of many Ladies Netball Tournaments running alongside the Rugby Tournament.
The popular event will this year raise money for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, a fantastic charity supporting and caring for those who have neurological illnesses and injuries.
If you are a rugby or netball player, or know anyone who is, they ask that you get involved! The teams are a mixture of social and club level, making it an enjoyable, yet competitive day. Spectators are very welcome to go along and enjoy the day. There will be an all day BBQ and bar, as well as live music later on in the clubhouse. Spectator entry is FREE, though if you do enjoy your time, there will be plenty of opportunities to make a donation to RHN on the day.
