Join Wimbledon Library for an evening of thrilling crime conversation in partnership with Murder in Merton.
Three authors and their books who all have a link with Merton come together for a lively discussion about their work and the practise of writing crime fiction.
Saima Mir is an award-winning journalist and writer who lives locally. Saima’s debut novel is The Khan, a Times and Sunday Times crime novel of the year, about a London barrister drawn back into her father’s gangland world, set among the British Pakistani community in a northern city.
Olivia Kiernan us a UK based Irish author of fiction, crime and thriller books. She has written the critically acclaimed Frankie Sheehan novels and has set her new standalone thriller The End of Us in Wimbledon.
Sunday Times bestselling author and local resident Robert Gold has also co-written with James Patterson for his Bookshot series. The fictionalised town of Haddley in Robert’s Ben Harper series has some recognisable nearby landmarks including the Common.
Interviewing all three will be Joy Kluver, who is an author of crime novels,is part of the First Monday Crime team and also runs Murder In Merton, organising crime writing events across the Borough of Merton.
