A New Space to Sit, Eat, Play & Relax

Welcome to Hartfield Walk – a vibrant, educational and engaging space in the heart of Wimbledon Town Centre. Hartfield Walk offers a chance to reimagine what small, underused spaces can do for our environment and our communities. Whether it is to sit and enjoy a coffee first thing in the morning, read a book in the afternoon sunshine, grab a bite for lunch, or learn about the environment, Hartfield Walk offers a sense of escapism.

Reclaimed Seating

Carefully repurposed with the environment in mind, the seating in Hartfield Walk is reclaimed oak from the lock gates of the Grand Union Canal. Read more about the sustainable design here.

Plant Abundance

We have over 50 different pollinating and purifying plants in Hartfield Walk. Species such as Amelanchier and Betula combat pollution whilst others attract pollinators, such as bees. Read more about the plants here.

Games for Kids

Colourful playground games combine fun with an underlying eco-message. Have a go on the hopscotch or wind your way through a maze, count Wombles and bees and learn as you play.

Cool Bike Racks

Fun and creative bike racks have been funded by the All England Lawn and Tennis Club which encourage thoughtful travel, a healthy lifestyle and inspire us to reduce our carbon footprint.
