Polka’s local pop-ups launch ‘TEN4POLKA’ Campaign
Polka Theatre will be popping up throughout the autumn at a host of local events offering families a chance to enjoy creative activities, storytelling and support the creation of new free play spaces in the redeveloped Polka building.
Free storytelling and Craft workshops for children will take place at Wimbledon Fayre and Centre Court Shopping Centre where families can find out more about what Polka’s new building will offer when it re-opens in 2020.
Polka need the help of the whole community to make the new free playspaces at Polka Theatre a reality as a welcoming venue dedicated to the playful inspiration of children.
Polka believes that every child has the right to imaginative play, regardless of background or ability. Polka helps children to navigate their world, to be happier and more confident, have improved mental health and wellbeing as well as to have better physical health and to negotiate, compromise and empathise.
To provide free-to-all new play spaces and multi-sensory garden, Polka are inviting local people to contribute ten pounds by text as part of their TEN4POLKA campaign.
Polka will also be at Wimbledon BookFest with ticketed workshops in the themes of The Paper Dolls and Meet the Moomins.
