After receiving funding from Merton Council, we are about to start the refresh of Hartfield Walk (the space next to Robert Dyas). This work is due to start on Monday 30th March and will last for several weeks. It will include rebuilding the entrance arch, renovating the kiosks and removing rotten seating. Once the seating has been removed, we will need to survey the site to establish what remedial works are needed before we add planters and install the new seating.
All the traders will remain open so please do continue to support them!
We have some great local independent traders on Hartfield Walk, usually open lunchtimes Monday to Friday. So come along and try i-Thai, King Falafel, Indian Takeaway and don’t forget the adorable Coffee Hart van.
Hartfield Walk was created in 2021 with Community Infrastructure Levy funding from Merton Council, as a pilot site to see whether creating a street food hub, with planting and seating, could successfully improve and animate what was previously an austere concrete cut-through from The Broadway to the Morrisons car park.
We will provide a further update following this work so please ensure that you are signed up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page to stay up to date on this and for all the latest news in Wimbledon Town Centre.
