Love Wimbledon’s Winter Wonderland
3 December, 12-6pm
3 December 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Love Wimbledon’s popular ‘Wimbledon Winter Wonderland’ returns to Wimbledon Broadway on Sunday 3 December from 12 – 6pm.
Our annual day of festive family fun will see part of the road being pedestrianised to host the take over of a very magical Christmas spell. Thousands of visitors will be treated to our Christmas market stalls, street entertainment, festive performances and children’s rides. New this year is our Christmas Make ‘n’ Take workshop activity tent (Christmas decorations, cookie decorating, face painting, letter writing to Santa), silent disco and carol singalongs.
Look out for balloon modelling reindeers, live ice carving and the big Brass Band which brings the magic of Christmas to Wimbledon.
Our ‘magical marquee’ will provide a covered area for families to sit, relax and enjoy the hot food on offer (hot hog roast, hot dogs, burgers, Italian, Indian, crepes plus pop-up from Franco Manca) plus children’s rides to keep them happily entertained including a rodeo reindeer, a snowboard simulator, Santa Sumo, a carousel and a Christmas pudding bouncy castle. All rides, including the Snow Globe photobooth will operate on a token system (apart from the carousel which is cash only). Tokens will be available to purchase from the Token Hut on The Piazza: £2 per token, 1 token per ride.
Tasty treats including popcorn, candy floss and favourites from Mr Simms old sweet shop are sure to delight. Family photos are on offer inside a giant snow globe. Centre Court will again host a stage with fantastic performances all day culminating in a fireworks display at 5:30pm courtesy of Centre Court Shopping Centre.
