That’s the incredible impact of Tom Ruffell, our dedicated Town Ranger, who has spent the past five years helping to keep Wimbledon Town Centre cleaner, safer and better for everyone.
Tom has logged more than 10,000 issues on Merton’s FixMyStreet platform, as well as reporting problems directly to utility companies and other stakeholders. Together, these efforts have helped see more than 11,000 town centre issues resolved.
From fly-tipping and graffiti to vandalism, leaking water pipes, fly-posting and cleanliness issues, Tom’s daily patrols mean that problems get flagged. He also responds to reports from local businesses, making sure issues are raised, followed up and, wherever possible, resolved.
11,000 issues is an extraordinary milestone, and a brilliant testament to Tom’s tireless dedication to Wimbledon Town Centre.
