In Spring 2025, Love Wimbledon conducted a comprehensive visitor survey to better understand expectations and priorities when visiting Wimbledon Town Centre. The findings, illustrated in the accompanying visual, highlight several clear themes:
Cleanliness, safety, and the overall environment are the most important factors influencing visitor experience. While Love Wimbledon continues to invest significantly in maintaining high standards across these areas, the survey reinforces that a collective approach—involving local businesses and stakeholders—has the greatest impact.
How businesses can contribute:
- Participate in the Wimbledon Town Centre TownLink Radio scheme to stay connected with CCTV, police, and local business security teams.
- Maintain clean, attractive, and well-presented shopfronts, which play a vital role in shaping public perception and visitor confidence.
Visitors also respond strongly to a vibrant and engaging destination. The “Things To Do” offering remains highly valued, supported by Love Wimbledon’s year-round programme of events and activities.
There is a clear and growing demand for independent retailers and diverse high street experiences. We continue to meet with and supply data to developers and landowners, resulting in a number of new businesses to the town centre, alongside continued refurbishment and investment by existing businesses and property owners.
With strong foundations in place and ongoing collaboration across the town centre, 2026 is shaping up to be a positive and dynamic year for Wimbledon Town Centre.
