In his role as Co-Chair of the newly formed South London Skills and Employment Alliance, Craig Hurring, Chief Executive of Love Wimbledon, has helped develop and was one of the first people to sign a new South London Employment and Skills Charter—a document which enables employers to take a major step forward in tackling the region’s workforce challenges.
The Charter has been created in collaboration with business leaders, educational providers, local authorities, voluntary and community sector representatives and employment support organisations. It is designed to enable employers to shape the skills of the future and show their organisation’s commitment to developing their workforce.
The Charter is a tangible mechanism through which employers can engage with the Skills and Employment Alliance and help shape and integrate skills and employment provision across South London. Transformational work is happening now to bring together stakeholders across employment and education in South London like never before, and signing the Charter enables your organisation to become an active part in this work moving forward. I was proud to sign the Charter on behalf of Love Wimbledon, and encourage other business leaders locally to do the same.
