LOVE WIMBLEDON’S MARKETS ON THE PIAZZA HAVE AN 81% CONSUMER AWARENESS RATE
Types of Stalls for Market Traders
Our markets hold up to 27 stalls and we have a mixture of food and gift/craft stalls. We work very closely with our traders to ensure that your products are of a high quality and suitable to our market. We like to ensure that there is controlled duplication across traders. We welcome particularly local traders with strong sustainability values, selling unique handcrafted products and local businesses. This is why we ask that you list your products in detail. We will work with you to ensure that the products you are selling fit into our market.
The Love Wimbledon Markets on The Piazza have a great atmosphere with a real sense of community and are a meeting point for local residents. With truly passionate traders and fabulous quality products LusoBrazil doesn’t miss a month, we trade right through the year.
What we ask of our Market Traders
We want you to do well at our market and we want our market to do well with the visiting public. Love Wimbledon is the principle brand for Wimbledon Town Centre and so we have our own standards that we aspire and adhere to. When you are at our market, you are representing that brand and so we ask that you ensure that the appearance of your stall, your dress code and your communication with the public are in keeping with our high standards. Our Markets are single-use plastic free, which means that if you trade at our market you do not sell, use or supply your product with any single-use plastic (read more about our Sustainability). We also ask that once you book, that you keep your booking and pay for your stall promptly by the due date.
Since we introduced the ‘single-use plastic free’ rule to the market this year, we have had overwhelming support from both the traders and the public. The public are very much aware nowadays of environmental impacts and I have received many comments from the public at how pleased they are that we have done this. Likewise, the market traders have supported and committed to it wholeheartedly, even though there is a higher cost for them to implement it, particularly for the food traders.
If you have booked in advance for a future market and you have had your place confirmed, please note in your diary that you have a confirmed place, no matter how far in advance you have booked. You will be reminded at the beginning of the previous month, but we expect you to honour your booking just as we do. This helps us to run the market smoothly. When the market is fully booked, we operate a waiting list for each individual market. If you are holding a confirmed place which you then do not keep, it is often too late for the waiting trader to accept at short notice, so please bear this in mind when booking or accepting a place.
The Love Wimbledon market has a relaxed & refreshing vibe. It’s a fabulous mix of traders exhibiting a wide range of quality products, from delicious food to handmade unique products. Tracy is very hands on and runs the market professionally. It’s always a pleasure to exhibit Accentuate London, my collection of handcrafted jewellery, here as I get to interact with regular customers on a monthly basis and with a wider range of customers who appreciate quality products and support small businesses
